MPT announces collaboration with LINE

For the first campaign promotion MPT customers can enjoy
free data usage with the newest instant messaging application
until September 30

Yangon, Myanmar, July 29, 2015– Myanma Posts Telecommunications (“MPT”), the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, announced today that they will provide free data usage for main features of LINE Messenger (“LINE”) and a free download of the application for all of its Swe Thahar customers.

Effective from July 29 until September 30, every MPT Swe Thahar user can download and use the LINE application without any data charges. Customers can take advantage of MPT’s free data offering for the following LINE offerings:

• Chatting

• Sending and receiving stickers

• Photo sharing

• Updating Home & Timeline

• Making and receiving free voice calls on LINE (Up to 50 MB per month per user)

At a press conference held at PARKROYAL Hotel on Wednesday morning, MPT announced details of the promotion: a joint collaboration between MPT and LINE aiming to provide Myanmar people the chance to experience the popular messaging application. LINE is one of the world’s most popular social network applications and has 560 million global users. The application is especially popular in Asia, where it is number one in Japan, Thailand, and several other countries.

MPT reduces fixed phone line installation fees by 50%

Company will double the current capacity over the next few years

Yangon, Myanmar, July 15, 2015 – Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT), the first
and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, announced today that they will lower
their PSTN (Auto Telephone) line installation fees to 325,000 Ks starting from July 15 which is
50% lower than the former rate 650,000 Ks. MPT aims to make installation of fixed lines more
affordable for retail consumers and businesses.

Especially, businesses often need fixed line for fixed phone and ADSL internet. By reducing the
installation rates, we believe more people and especially more businesses will consider
installing lines and we’re happy to facilitate more access for new customers.

Top-up bonus up to 50% offered to celebrate new tariff

July 5, 2015 – Yangon, Myanmar – Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT), the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, announced lower voice tariff for its Swe Thahar plan and CDMA 450/800 to 23 Ks/min. In line with its core mission in helping “Moving Myanmar Forward,” this initiative enables MPT’s current and future customers to benefit from its affordable and reliable voice services.

Effective on July 8, 2015 at 00:00:01, voice calls on MPT’s Swe Thahar plan will be priced at 23 Ks/min, down from the previous tariff of 35 Ks/min. At the same time, voice tariff of CDMA 450/800 users will also be set to 23 Ks/min, instead of 50 Ks/min previously. These new tariffs apply automatically to all Swe Thahar and CDMA 450/800 customers.

No additional subscription is required for current Swe Thahar users to benefit from the new tariff of 23 Ks/min, valid for on-net and off-net calls. For GSM/WCDMA customers to subscribe, they simply need to send “SWE” by SMS to 1332, without any charge. Prices of other services included in the Swe Thahar plan and the base tariff for GSM/WCDMA remain the same.

No subscription or registration is required for CDMA 450/800 users to enjoy the new voice tariff of 23 Ks/min, valid for both on-net and off-net calls. Tariffs for all other services of CDMA users remain the same.

To celebrate its new price plan, MPT is also offering a top-up bonus promotion for all its customers. From July 5 to July 7, all MPT users can receive up to 50% bonus when topping up between these dates. Top-up bonuses can be used for voice calls to all MPT numbers and Internet, and will be valid until July 31.
