MPT Expands IP-VPN Service To 55 Cities Nationwide

(Yangon, 28 November 2017) – Myanma Posts and Telecommunications today announced the latest expansion of its IP-VPN (Internet Protocol – Virtual Private Network) service nationwide to now encompass 55 cities across Myanmar. With IP-VPN availability in even more regions than before, MPT can now provide broader interconnectivity and service delivery, simultaneously enhancing quality and operational reach for both new and existing customers.

The expansion allows MPT to better support the growth of companies in Myanmar that seek to streamline their network connectivity across multiple regions. Enterprise customers using the IP-VPN service will now have the capability to conveniently connect hard-to-reach locations or temporary sites into their virtual private networks.

MNL Scores Strategic Partnership With MPT To Promote Myanmar Youth Participation In Football

(Yangon, 25November 2017) –A Contract was signed today between the Myanmar National League (MNL) and Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) at a special ceremony held at Novotel Hotel Max Yangon to form a strategic partnership to boost the development and support new generation for youth football in the country.

MPT Makes A Difference With Nationwide Blood Donation To Commemorate National Day

(Yangon, 16 November 2017) – In commemoration of Myanmar’s National Day, MPT employees in states and regions across the country coordinated to organize a nationwide scale blood donation event, the biggest the operator has organized to-date.

Donation drives are being carried out today in Ayeyarwaddy, Bago, Kachin, Kayin, Kayah, Magwe, Mandalay, Mon, Nay Pyi Taw, Shan, Sagaing, Thanintharyi and Yangon, by four hundred MPT staff at blood centers and hospitals in their respective locations which store valuable blood used for medical purposes.

MPT Launches New “Healthcare” Service Offering Useful Health And Preventive Care Information

MPT Commemorates Tazaungdaing Religious Day Of Observance By Donating Shawls And Candles At Sacred Pagodas Around Myanmar

(Yangon, 1 November 2017) – To commemorate the full moon festival period of Tazaungmone, which signals the end of the rainy season and a time of special significance for Buddhist devotees around the country, MPT will be distributing shawls and candles at ten sacred pagodas throughout Yangon, Mandalay and Mon State in early November.

This unique religious day of observance is traditionally held as a Buddhist festival where monks are presented with offerings such as robes and other necessities from the public. MPT is lending its support by lighting small oil lamps to pay homage to Buddha and gain merit at eight major religious sites: Sule, Botahtaung, Kabaraye, Kyauk Taw Kyi pagodas in Yangon, the Sandarmuni, Kuthodaw and Maharmyatmuni pagodas in Mandalay, and the Kyeikhteeyoe pagoda in Mon State.
