Notification to MPT Customers for Permanent Closure of Copper Cable System Auto- Telephone Services in Shan State and Bago Region

(Yangon, 30th August 2022)- In ord​er to improve quality and provide better services, MPT upgraded its existing Copper Cable System with advanced systems such as high-speed fiber cable system (“FTTH system”) and/or fixed wireless system (“FWA system”) and announced the upgraded exchanges in Shan State and Bago Region on MPT’s website and newspaper in 2020 and 2019 respectively.

The system upgrading is already completed for those areas. Therefore, MPT would like to inform that all Auto- Telephone Services via copper cable system at below exchanges will close permanently on September 29, 2022, and customers are not able to use Auto-Telephone Services through Copper Cable System.

Report To Our Valued Customers About Incident and Recovery of MPT’s Data Service Issue (Apology Gift Of 300 MPT Club Points Is Providing to All MPT Users Nationwide)

MPT has been repaired the fiber link cut between Myawaddy and Kawkarite Townships in Kayin State and SE-ME-WE- 5 Power Cable Cut between Pathein and Ngwe Saung Townships in Ayeyarwady Region. Therefore, MPT would like to report about the incident and recovery of it relating to the internet speed interruptions happened during 10th to 12th August 2022 have been fully recovered and data services are available as usual starting from 12th August 2022 at 20:25 PM.

As our apology for internet connection issues, MPT is now providing 300 MPT Club Points from 14th to 20th August 2022 to our valuable customers and customers who have already registered at MPT Club Program can enjoy 300 MPT Club Points by dialing *2006#. MPT To Provide Only E-invoice Service For Private (Individual) Post-paid and FTTH Users Starting from January 2023

(Yangon, 15th August 2022)- MPT introduced E-invoice system as part of its organization-wide effort to reduce the carbon footprint and convenience for its customers who are using post-paid and FTTH services since 2020. Now with the further expansion of MPT’s efforts to the conveniences of customers and carbon reduction, MPT will stop providing paper invoice for private (individual) customers from January 2023. Therefore, MPT customers who are using post-paid and FTTH services will receive their invoice statements with E-invoice system via SMS or e-mail instead of paper invoices. In addition, customers can get invoice information through MPT4U and USSD (*260#) Channel.

MPT would like to encourage its customers to register E-invoice service to enjoy more convenience ways with digitalized approach and can enjoy 500 kyats discount per month for five consecutive months, with total 2,500 kyats will be discounted till end of December 2022.

MPT customers can sign up to receive E-invoice by registering their information without paying charges at below channels:

1) Register your update information to this link: https://www.mpt.com.mm/en/e-invoice-registration-en/

2) Visit your nearest MPT’s payment collection counter (TRA/Commercial Office)

3) Dialing to Call Center (106) for MPT users and 01-2399106 for non-MPTs users for registration

4) Via MPT4U Application

After successful registration, the customer will receive an SMS or e-mail to confirm the preferred E-invoice distribution channel.

How to register E-invoice at MPT4U App

Step 1- After joining MPT4U App from your phone, select Service Menu from the Home Menu.

Step 2- Select other bills under Manage Account at Service Menu.

Step 3- Click “Register” button.

Step 4- Press “Register” after inputting the required information.

Step 5- If verification input data was passed, the registration process will complete.

Step 6- After registration completed, customer can see the “Real-time Balance” for the registered services under Other Bills Menu.

Step 7- Press each service to check the latest (6) months invoice information and payment status.

MPT4U is a free MPT application available for Android and iOS users which allows customers to conveniently track their usage and expenses, pay their monthly bills and manage various services offered by MPT. With the app, customers may also check their monthly invoices for the last six months and easily find and navigate to the nearest MPT shop, and other services.

With the E-invoice system, MPT customers can enjoy benefits such as receiving invoice earlier or on time monthly invoice by minimizing the physical delivery time, easy to check invoice, easy to save invoice at customer PC or mobile phone, easy to make payment and enjoy the promotion. Moreover, customers can reduce not only the usage of paper but also can make their lives easier due to easy access and digitalized invoices.

MPT Customers can also make the payment for E-Invoice through MPT PAY, I-Banking/ Mobile Banking of KBZ Bank, AYA Bank and CB Bank etc., for even more conveniences using the digitalized service. In addition to this, customers can make payment by showing E-invoice via SMS or e-mail at the payment counters such as MPT TRA, Post Offices or some agent collection channels. During transitional period of old numbers to new numbers, MPT will provide free of charge call forwarding services for 3 months, for the conveniences of customers starting from the date that changed.
