[:en](Yangon, 8 April 2016) – MPT, the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar is simplifying its USSD Menu, making it a more convenient and efficient service for its customers. Users will no longer need to remember subscription codes for various offers, because the USSD Menu will now allow users to choose with ease their favorite mobile internet bundle, anytime, anywhere.

Suitable for all MPT GSM/WCDMA/CDMA prepaid and postpaid customers, users will just need to remember the one subscription number: *106# [send] in order to check their balance, top-up their balance, buy internet packages and Valued Added Services or contact MPTs Customer Services.

With its user-friendly layout and interface, customers will be presented with the following numbers to choose the following services:

1. My Account

2. Internet Packages

3. Value-Added Services

8. Contact MPT

9. Language

A simple typing of the number ‘1’ and then ‘send’ will bring users to ‘My Account’ where a choice of three services are available; ‘Check Account,’ ‘Low balance help’ and ‘Top up.’  From here, customers can go onto check their balance, the mobile number they are using or even to subscribe to a prepaid service

Typing option ‘2’ will allow customers to look and choose their data packages.  Whilst typing option 3 will bring users to MPTs Value Added Service, where a range of services such as Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT), Call Services, Infotainment or Back to My MPT is given.

To ‘Contact MPT’, users simply type in the number ‘8.’  From here, customers can receive updates and news through MPTs Call Centre, Website and Facebook page.  Available in both English and Myanmar, typing the number ‘9’ users can choose their preferred language, free of charge.

Mr.Koichi Kawase, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations said: “In 2016 it is a top priority to improve MPT services for all our customers.  By simplifying the USSD Menu, this service will make it easier for our customers to manage their MPT account, whilst also introducing them to a range of services available and accessible through their mobile phone.”

For each choice and for each service, users are guided through their choices and receive responses, if expected, through an SMS message.  With simplicity being a key factor, there is even the option of returning to the main menu to start again. MPT will upgrade USSD Menu in future to provide better service to their customers.[:]
