MPT proudly brings the Discover which can be browse not only in Web Browsers but also in Android App to our valuable customers in collaboration with Facebook.

Discover is a mobile web and Android application that enables people to browse any site on the internet using a daily balance 20 MB of free data provided by MPT. Discover does not support video, audio and certain other types of data-intensive traffic when using free data. Discover is designed to help bridge to keep people connected until they can purchase data again. During the coronavirus public health crisis, we believe it is particularly important to explore ways to help people stay connected and to increase access to health information and other resources on the internet.

When the users accessing internet on Discover, there will be no pictures and videos in free mode .

If they want to see pictures and videos, they can switch to paid mode,

  1. package would be applied if it is subscribed or
  2. standard paygo data charges applied if there are no packages


While changing to paid mode, customers can also buy internet packages in notification easily.

Terms & Conditions for Discover

  • All MPT GSM/WCDMA users can use the service.
  • Non-active, CDMA, WTTX and Roaming users are OUT of Scope.
  • Users can enjoy with supported mobile web browser (Google Chrome/ Firefox) via url link for Discover Mobile Web.
  • Users can download the Discover App in Web page with free of charge.
  • Discover is available as the name “Discover From Facebook” in google play store and downloading charges will be consumed from main balance (or) any package you purchased.
  • iOS users can use the Discover only through mobile web browser
  • can get Daily 20 MB per day for text only in Discover Web
  • Daily 20 MB free is not eligible for watching photos (or) videos.
  • Zero-balance subscribers can use the Discover (must have data turned ON in mobile phone setting).
  • In paid mode, users can use all features, including viewing photos and videos that is charged from users’ main balance (or) package.
  • User can buy data pack that offered in “Discover” if you want to see photos (or) videos as well as continue to read the information in desired websites after 20MB daily free data.
  • Between Purchased Any Data Pack and Bought Data that offered in Discover, the data pack with shorter validity will be consumed first.

Discover is the initiative which would allow users to stay connected more consistently. It would allow users to browse for useful information e.g. Government News, Covid-19 Related information, Jobs etc.., by using free daily data provided by MPT. This is a unique initiative which is targeted for all users, who would like to use internet for information purpose. Discover is currently available with only MPT in Myanmar.

3. Who can browse the Discover?

5. Can I get the Discover only on web?

No. You can get the Discover not only on Web but also in android app. For iOS users, you can browse the Discover web via mobile browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox.

6. How much free data amount can I get to access the internet via the Discover?

You can get the 20MB/day free data for daily with text only to access the internet via the Discover.

7. How do I access the Discover?

User can access Discover web app via the url link https://0.discoverapp.com  in mobile browser or via Android app as the name “Discover from Facebook” in google play store.

8. I want to see photos (or) videos on the Discover. How can I do?

In order to see photos and videos in Discover user can move to “ paid mode “ from free mode by the following steps . The data usage to see photos or videos will be consumes from main balance or any existing purchased data package.

  1. Click “See Photos” icon
  2. Confirm box to move the paid mode
  3. Now in paid mode

9. Which mobile browsers are eligible to browse the Discover?

The popular mobile browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, are eligible to browse the Discover.

10. Can I browse the Discover without main balance (Zero-balance)?

Yes. You can browse the Discover web using free text seeing experience without main balance (Zero-balance). You must have data turned ON in mobile phone setting.

Yes. You need to use paid data to view photos (or) videos. You don’t need to use paid data to see text on Discover before 20MB was consumed

You can get the Discover App by following steps.

  1. Access via url link (https://0.discoverapp.com) and go to the bottom of page and click download for free
  2. Install the Discover Android App
  3. Now can use the Discover App in your phone

14. Is it available the Discover in google play store?

Yes. It is available the Discover in google play store as the name “Discover From Facebook” but it is not free of charge and downloading charges will be consumed from main balance (or) any data package you purchased

15. How do I switch free mode from paid mode?

You can click “Go To Free” in the top right to switch to free mode.

16. I moved to Free Mode and I have remaining quota of 20 MB data. But the usage is deducted from main balance. What happened?

You need to close the background data and other update settings of your phone while using free mode with 20 MB data not to be deducted from main balance.

17. Can I get the notification (or) SMS after consuming 20 MB?

Yes. After consuming 20 MB, you can get the notification as the following image.

18. What is upsell?

The upsell is a feature in discover that offers MPT data packs to MPT user while moving from “free mode” to “paid mode” in order to see photos (or) videos, or continuing reading text contents of websites information after consuming daily 20 MB free data.

19. How can I buy the data pack on Discover if I want to see photos (or) videos?

If you want to see photos (or) videos on Discover, you can buy data by the following steps: (2 or 3 data pack can show to choose and buy)

  1. Click the “see photos”
  2. Confirm box to use paid data (or) click to “Buy Data”
  3. Confirm to buy a data pack
  4. Purchase completed

21. I purchased data pack earlier and now I want to buy data pack that are offered on “Discover”. How will be data consuming process?

Between the purchased data pack and data pack on “Discover”, the pack with shorter validity will be consumed first.

20. I want to continue reading more texts on my favorite websites after consuming 20 MB free data. How can I do?

If you want to continue reading more texts on your favorite websites after consuming 20 MB free data, you can do the two ways as follow:

1)  You can move to “Paid Mode” from the free mode. That usage will be consumed from main balance (or) any data package you purchased.

2)  You can buy data pack that are offered on Discover and the usage will be consumed from that data pack.
