TO HELP VALUED CUSTOMERS KEEP IN TOUCH WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY
(Yangon, January 25, 2016) MPT, the first and leading telecoms operator in Myanmar, has announced the launch of a new ‘Call Me Back’ service available from January 25th 2016, to help MPT’s valued customers keep in touch conveniently and easily in times of need. This new service will allow all MPT prepaid GSM/WCDMA customers to send a free text message to any MPT prepaid and postpaid GSM/WCDMA customer, requesting them to call back, when their balance is running low.
In order to take advantage of this new “Call Me Back” service, MPT customers just need to use USSD code: *222*recipient number#[send] (eg. *222*09xxxxxxxxx#[send]), and if the recipient is eligible, he or she will receive a text message saying: “Hello, please call me back at 09xxxxxxxxx!”. Customers can use up to 5 free “Call Me Back” requests per day.
Mr.Koichi Kawase, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operation, said “As Myanmar’s incumbent telecoms operator, MPT recognizes it as our duty and commitment to the Myanmar people to help them communicate easily, and cost effectively. We have introduced the ‘Call Me Back’ service because we know that anyone can run out of top-up credit, and it may not be easy to find a place to top up when they are busy. With this service our users can easily let their friends and family know they are trying to get in touch.”
This is one of many time and money saving initiatives MPT has introduced for their valued customers, including the launch of the Swe Tha Har tariff, which allows users to send an SMS for only 10Ks, the lowest price of all the operators in Myanmar, and the recent launch of the “Balance Transfer” service, allowing users to transfer from Ks 300 up to Ks 10,000 balance to friends and family.
