Mr. Reizo Umeda, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operations said, “The explosive growth of social media usage on mobile devices in Myanmar has been amazing where 1 in 4 people in Myanmar uses the internet on a regular basis, most of whom are social enthusiasts now engaging and connecting with their friends, family and colleagues as well as rich online content on these platforms more than ever before. MPT has listened closely to the customers’ feedback and is offering newly-refreshed Social Pack that will better suit their usage preferences, in particular for affordable access to popular social networking apps such as Facebook, LINE, Viber and now Instagram.”
The Social Pack update comes just in time for Thadingyut, also known as the festival of lights which marks the end of the Buddhist Lent, offering the people of Myanmar even more reasons to reconnect with friends and family during this occassion.
To celebrate social pack refreshment by the inclusion of Instagram and to commemorate traditional Myanmar’s lighting festival, MPT will organize a digital photo contest to encourage the public to express what these festive events mean to them. Contestants will be required to upload pictures on a platform and by participating the competition, participants will have a chance to walk away with the latest iPhone and other prizes. The details of terms and conditions will be announced very soon through MPT official communication channels.
“We hope that you will be excited to share your favorite photos by entering our photo contest. All of us at MPT would also like to wish our customers a happy auspicious Thadingyut and Tazaungdine!” added Mr. Umeda.
