MPT Refunded Back 5% Balance Transfer Service Fee to Support Their Loyal Customers who Self-transferred to Their Own Numbers

[:en](Yangon, January 09, 2016) Myanma Posts and Telecommunications, the first and leading telecommunications operator in Myanmar, announced they have refunded the 5% service charge fee incurred by users who have used the balance transfer service to transfer top-up credit to themselves, in a goodwill gesture to their loyal customers.

MPT recently launched this Balance Transfer Service, with instant user appeal and attraction. Many customers have taken advantage of the opportunity to transfer top-up credit from one account to another since the service went live. However, although the service was launched to give users the opportunity to transfer top-up credit to friends and family, some customers have been enjoying testing out the service by transferring to themselves, and did not realize they were incurring the default 5% service charge each time. MPT reimbursed the users who have had this happen.

“MPT understands that our customers always want to have attractive services. MPT constantly valued the loyalty and support of our customers and therefore we refunded the 5% service fee back to the customers who have transferred the balance to the same number they used while they were trying to test the new service. We always care for our customers and we want every customer to experience the new services without losing anything”, said Mr.Koichi Kawase, Chief Commercial Officer of MPT-KSGM Joint Operation.

MPT prepaid users can transfer balances from minimum 300Ks to maximum 10,000 Ks per transaction to other MPT GSM/WCDMA prepaid users, and a 5% service fee is deducted from the main balance for each transaction.
