1. What is Blacklist and Stop feature?

Customer can do below activities by sending related keyword to 1414.

  • Check and unsub VAS services one by one or all at once by sending “Stop”
  • Blacklist the VAS services by their self by sending “Blacklist/BL” to 1414 .

2. Can I unsubscribe all value-added services in one goal?

Yes. You can unsubscribe all of your subscribed value added services in one goal.

2> your subscribed services will appear with a list. Choose the services you want to unsubscribe.

3. Can I blacklist VAS services?

Yes. You can blacklist all value-added services. When you send “BL” to 1414 , you won’t be able to subscribe and use all of the value added services except your current subscribed services and MPT ring tune.

4. If I blacklist value added services via SMS, will my all subscribed services be automatically unsubscribed?

No. If you want to unsubscribe your existing services, you need to unsubscribe first.

5. How I can subscribe to any service if my number is in blacklist?

You can dial 106 to put your number in whitelist.

6. If I blacklist, can I continue with my existing services?

Yes, You can. If you don’t stop your existing services, you will enjoy your existing services.

1. What is “Poh B”?

“Poh B” is Gifting Service. MPT users can send Data Pack, Voice Pack & Htaw B+ to another MPT numbers as gift.

To use this, just dial existing USSD and chose your preferred pack. Choose Gift option and follow the instruction. You can also use MPT 4U app to gift MPT products to other MPT numbers. There is no limitation for sending and receiving MPT products. Receivers can enjoy the products that they receive, according to the standard Terms & Conditions of MPT.

2. Do I need to pay service fees to use “Poh B”?

No service fee is required.

If you are a sender (person who will gift MPT product to other MPT number), only package price that you gift will be deducted from your main balance. SMS notification will be received.

If you are a receiver (person who will receive MPT Product as gift from other MPT number), will receive the product automatically. You will be notified via SMS. You can check your pack quota by dialing *224#.

3. I have remaining Data Carry Plus Pack Quota and I also receive Data Carry Pack from my friend as Gift. What will happen?

Both(remaining & new) will be merged and can be used according to the standard terms & conditions.

A Kyite Pyaw+ Voice Pack & Htaw B will also be merged with remaining quota of receive if they are same product.

4. How to use Conference Call?

Firstly, you need to call first number and press Add Call button and make another call (up to 5 numbers). Then, press Merge Call button and can talk with all the numbers in a call.

6. What are the charges?

Subscription to Conference Call service is free of charge. You would be charged based on each outgoing call destination during Conference Call according to the user’s tariff plan.

(For example, For Swe Thahar users, voice calls are charged at 23Ks/min. For Shal Pyaw users, calls to MPT will be charged with 15Ks/min and calls to other operators will be charged with 25Ks/min.  For Base Tariff users, voice calls are charged at 50Ks/min (peak time) / 25Ks/min (off-peak time).)

M-Learning FAQ

M-Learning

1. What is the M-Learning service?

  • M-Learning is an educational innovative portal that will invite MPT users to be able to learn English through a series of provided Language lessons. The Service also offers general knowledge language learning content (through SMS the user will receive 1 daily content) as well as access to an HTML5 Language portal. The service will offer different categories and different levels (Beginner, Intermediate and advanced) for users to learn.The service has a cost of 158 Ks/Daily (Including all Taxes). Upon first time subscription, users will be able to enjoy a free trial of 7 calendar days to the service.

3. Who is eligible to subscribe?

The service is open to all customers of MPT. The person that owns the SIM card or has express authorization from the SIM card’s owner to use it is considered the Subscriber, regardless of the actual user of the phone.

5. How can I unsubscribe from the M-Learning service?

To unsubscribe please follow the below steps

  • SEND STOP to 8282
  • User will received SMS confirmation for unsubscription.

User may also use the following Keywords for Unsubscrirption : EXIT, OUT, CANCEL.

7. Where can I find the link for the M-Learning Portal?

You can access M-Learning portal via the link http://engclass.up.st/. The participants can recover the portal link at any time by sending “INFO” to 8282.

9. M-Learning portal loading is slow. What can I do for this? / While I’m inside the portal, I tap or click but nothing happens. Why?

  • First of all try to refresh the page or close and then reopen your browser.
  • Check if your mobile data connection or WiFi are working properly.
  • If you’re using your mobile data connection, make sure you have still data available (check with your Service Provider if necessary).
  • Make sure you are not browsing through “Private Window” or “Incognito Mode”.
  • If your device is slow, please take a moment to close unnecessary open windows or panels, to disable special plugins or Antivirus and Firewalls that may block your navigation.

11. Can I access the M-Learning service from more than one device?

  • Yes, you can access the M-Learning via any data enabled device given that you use the link of M-Learning Portal and insert your credentials.

2. How does it work and how to subscribe?

  • Users interested in subscribing to the service user may  send an SMS with any of  keyword YES, ON, OK, GO, IN to 8282. The portal can be accessed via internet connection (WiFi, 2G, 3G or 4G). Below are the steps explained to subscribe. 
    • SEND ON to 8282
    • Upon successful subscription user receives confirmation SMS as below:
      1. Welcome message
      2. Receive details (UserID/password & portal link) to access M-Learning portal
      3. English Lesson – Content of the day.

4. Do I pay for the SMS I receive?

  • Daily subscription fee of 158 k is charged, however all SMS received by users from short code 8282 is free of charge.

6. How do I get my User ID & password?

  • The personal credentials for the M-Learning Portal will be sent to the participant upon first subscription. The participants can recover the portal link at any time by sending “PASSWORD” to 8282. Your mobile number is your user ID.

8. Why don’t I have access to M-Learning portal?

  • This could be because user is required to have HTML5 compatible browser to access the portal. Another reason could be because there may be an issue with your subscription payment. Please check that you have sufficient balance at your mobile to pay your Daily subscription. Once your mobile balance is successfully charged with the Daily subscription cost, you will have full access to the portal.

10. Can I save the portal page (or the M-Learning) somewhere on my phone so I can easily reach to it?

You can create a shortcut to the portal by adding an icon on your smartphone/ tablet home screen. To do this go to your browser’s Settings and click on “Add to home screen”. Please remember that your connection must be set to ON, otherwise the link won’t work.

12. I sent a message, but I did not receive an SMS reply.

If you haven’t received an SMS reply, follow the instructions below:

  1. Check if your mobile phone reached the messages filing capacity limit and it is without memory to receive new ones. Please, delete some of the messages to free space.
  2. The message was not sent to the correct number. Write a new SMS and send it to the number you receive your service.
  3. There is the possibility that the network in your area is overloaded at the moment. Please, wait. If you don’t receive the message in 15 minutes, please, send a new SMS.

Are all MPT users eligible to use Balance Transfer to send credit to friends?

All active Prepaid Swe Thahar and Base Tariff GSM/WCDMA users are elgibile to use Balance Transfer. User must have enough credit in the main balance to cover the transfer amount and the 5% service fee.

I am a postpaid user, can I use Balance Transfer?

Unfortunately, at this point in time MPT does not allow postpaid users to use Balance Transfer service to send credit to prepaid users. We are exploring the possibility of offering Balance Transfer to more of our subscriber base in the future.

Are all MPT users eligible to receive credit from a friend via Balance Transfer?

Only Prepaid Swe Thahar and Base Tariff GSM/WCDMA users are eligible to receive credit from Balance Transfer. Active, 1-way block and 2-way block users are eligible to receive credit.

I am a CDMA users, can I use Balance Transfer?

Unfortunately, at this point in time MPT does not offer the Balance Transfer service to CDMA customers. We are exploring the possibility of offering Balance Transfer to more of our subscriber base in the future.

Is there a minimum/maximum to the amount that I can transfer per transaction?

You can send any amount between 300 and 10,000 Ks at one time; there is no limit to the amount you can transfer in one day, but there is a limit of 5 transfers a day

How many transfers can I make per day?

There is a limit of 5 transfers a day. The counter starts and ends at midnight every day.

How long does it take for me to transfer credit to my friend?

After you request a Balance Transfer, your friend should receive credit in a matter of seconds.

What will be the validity of the credit transferred?

The balance validity will not be transferred. If the recipient is an active user whose main balance has not expired, the recipient’s main balance validity date will remain the same. [see the Special Treatments section for questions relating to 1-way block and 2-way block users]

Will I receive a notification after a Balance Transfer?

Yes, both the sender and recipient will receive a notification SMS upon a successful Balance Transfer.

Is there a maximum amount that I can transfer per day?

There is no limit to the amount you can transfer in one day, but there is a limit of 5 transfers a day.

How much does it cost for a Balance Transfer?

The cost for each Balance Transfer is 5% of the total transfer amount. The 5% is deducted from the sender’s main balance, while the recipient is not charged any fees.

Is there a maximum number of transfers or amount that I can receive per day?

There is no limit to the amount you can receive in one day, and but there is a limit to the number of transfers you can receive in one day. (Effective transfer limit of 50,000 Ks)

Can I transfer bonus balance to my friend?

No, the Balance Transfer service is only applicable for transfers of main balances.

What happens when I transfer credit to a 1-way block user? (A 1-way block user is a user whose main balance validity has expired, and is only able to receive SMS and calls)

A 1-way block user is eligible to receive a Balance Transfer. Upon receipt, the user will not be blocked any more and will instead get a main balance validity of 15 days. If the 1-way block user has not topped-up within the 15 days she should return to 1-way block status.

What happens when I transfer credit to a 2-way block user? (A 2-way block user is a user whose main balance validity has expired more than 30 days ago, and is not able to send/receive SMS or calls)

A 2-way block user is eligible to receive a Balance Transfer. Upon receipt, the user will not be blocked any more and will instead get a main balance validity of 15 days. If the 2-way block user has not topped-up within the 15 days she should return to 1-way block status.
