1. What is Conference Call?

Conference Call can support calling up to 6 numbers (including initiator) within one call. Now, you can enjoy calling to multiple numbers at one call by using MPT’s Conference Call service.

4. How to use Conference Call?

Firstly, you need to call first number and press Add Call button and make another call (up to 5 numbers). Then, press Merge Call button and can talk with all the numbers in a call.

6. What are the charges?

Subscription to Conference Call service is free of charge. You would be charged based on each outgoing call destination during Conference Call according to the user’s tariff plan.

(For example, For Swe Thahar users, voice calls are charged at 23Ks/min. For Shal Pyaw users, calls to MPT will be charged with 15Ks/min and calls to other operators will be charged with 25Ks/min.  For Base Tariff users, voice calls are charged at 50Ks/min (peak time) / 25Ks/min (off-peak time).)

How do I subscribe to Voice Mail Services ?

Send “VMS” to 1331 to subscribe. To get started, you will need to call 1550 to set your voicemail greeting, voice signature and password (between 4-6 digits). Subscription is free.

Can I check my voice mail by calling from another number?

Yes, you can check the voice mail by calling 1550 from a number that is not your own. Just call 1550 and follow the instructions.

Can I subscribe to both Voice Mail Services and Missed Call Alert at the same time?

No, you may not.

How do I change my Voice Mail Services settings? (greeting message , language ,signature , password )?

Yes, you can change your settings, including your greeting message, language, signature and password. Simply follow the steps below: 1. Call 1550 2. Press “1″ – Access own mail box * 3. Press “2″ – Settings 4. Press “1″ – Greeting, “2″ – Password, “3” – Language or “4″ – Signature *If you receive the messages, please listen all messages. After that, you can choose the setting menu.

How do I use Voice Mail Services?

When your phone is out of network coverage area, you are unable to pick up your calls or your phone is switched off, your caller will be prompted to leave a Voice Mail. When you have a Voice Mail, the system will send you a notification. You can dial 1550 to retrieve the message, delete the voice message and manage your Voice Mail settings. A maximum of 20 Voice Mail messages can be stored. Usual voice tariff applies to leave a message or to call 1550.

How do I unsubscribe to Voice Mail Services?

Send “VMS OFF” to 1331 to unsubscribe.

What is the special greeting message?

Voice Mail Services has two types of greeting messages: personal greeting message and special greeting message. If you set a special greeting message, this will take precedence over the personal greeting message.

Can callers classify the voice mail messages?

Yes, callers can classify their messages to let you know whether it is normal, urgent or confidential. After recording the voice message, press *. Then choose the message type – press “1” for normal, “2” for urgent and “3 for confidential. You will receive an SMS notification with the message classification.

How does MCA message look to recipient?

Users will receive the following MCA message from the caller’s phone number: “You have a missed call from 09XXXXXXXX at xx:xx dd-mm-yyyy.”

Who will be affected by the current changes on MCA service?

All current and new GSM and WCDMA subscribers will have MCA activated by default, with the exception of users who have subscribed to either Voice Mail Service or Call Forwarding service.

How do I subscribe to Missed Call Alert?

Send “MCA” to 1331 to subscribe. Subscription is free.

Do I need to call a number to check my missed calls?

No, the system will automatically send an SMS to notify you of your missed calls.

Can I use Voice Mail Service / Call Forwarding with MCA?

You may not use Voice Mail Service / Call Forwarding with MCA. If you are an active subscriber of either service, you will not be automatically enrolled to MCA.

Do I need to pay for MCA service?

User does not need to pay any fees for MCA service. It is a free service for all MPT users.

Can I get MCA message in Myanmar language?

Currently, user cannot get message in Myanmar language. But MPT is developing the Myanmar version and it should be ready in the coming months.

How do I use Missed Call Alert?

When your phone is out of network coverage area or is switched off, you will receive a notification SMS of any missed calls once your phone is switched on. You will not be charged for the notification SMS received.

How do I unsubscribe to Missed Call Alert?

Send “MCA OFF” to 1331 to unsubscribe.

1. What is Ring Tune service?

Ring Tune service allows you to replace your standard ringing tone to a tune of your choice. Your callers can listen to the tune of your choice when they call you.
You can select tune of your choice from thousands of superhit and melodious tunes.

2.How can I activate Ring Tune service?

You can activate Ring Tune service by following methods.
• Call 7979 (call will be free of charge) from your MPT number and follow the instructions to choose your favorite tune
• SMS: send REG M to 7979 for monthly service, send REG W to 7979 for weekly service or send REG D to 7979 for daily service
• Send an SMS with the tune id of the song you would like to buy buy to 7979. Example: buy 0001110010
• Dial *7979# and select your favorite tune”

3.What are the charges for Ring Tune service?

• Monthly service will be charged 1050 Ks (including tax) for 30 days.
• Weekly service will be charged 300 Ks (including tax) for 7 days.
• Daily service will be charged 47 Ks (including tax) for one day.
• Tune charges are 315 Ks (including tax) for 30 days for each tune

4.How would I be renewed for the ring tune service?

• It is an auto renewal service and you would be renewed and charged for the service according to your subscription plan and tune validity.

5. How can I deactivate Ring Tune service?

• Call 7979 (call will be free of charge) and go to “my account section” then choose to deactivate (or)
• You can type UNR and send SMS to 7979 (or)
• You can click Unsubscribe button for CRBT in MPT4U app (or)
• Dial *7979# and go to account section to unsubscribe the service (or)
• Call 106 customer care IVR

6. Can I set a tune for a specific caller?

Yes. You can assign a specific tone for your special caller with the options given below
•Just call 7979 and follow the Instructions

7.Can I copy a tune a tune from my friends?

Yes. You can copy a tune from your friends having MPT number with the options given
Below:
• Just call 7979 (no call charges) and follow the Instructions (or)
• Dial *7979# and follow the Instructions

8. How many songs can I buy?

You can buy the maximum 10 songs. The songs will be play randomly.

9.How to delete the song?

• Call 7979 and go to HELP session then choose TO CHECK LIBRARY and delete the song (or)
• You can type Del and send SMS to 7979. Example: Del 0001110010 (or)
• Call 106 customer care IVR

10. What if Ring Tune is active, someone calls me & I am busy on another call?

• The caller hears the normal busy tone, Ring Tune will not be heard.

11. How can I gift Ring Tune service to my friends and family?

• Just call 7979 (no call charges) and follow the Instructions

12. What are the charges for gifting Ring Tune service?

If the person you want to gift ring tune service is already ring tune user then
• You will be charged 315 ks for first 30 days then the gift receiver will be charged for 315 ks from the next month.

If the person you want to gift ring tune service is not a ring tune user then
• You will be charged 1050 ks as subscription fee and 315 ks as song fee for first 30 days then the gift receiver will be charged for 1050 ks as subscription fee and 315 ks as song fee from the next month.

13. What is Name Tune service?

• Name tune service allows the user to greet the callers with his/her names and message available from MPT.

14. How can I subscribe the Name Tune service?

You can use one of the below methods to subscribe the MPT Name Tune service.
• SMS: send REG M to 7979 for monthly service, send REG W to 7979 for weekly service or send REG D to 7979 for daily service (or)
• Call 106 for more information and activation of name tune

15.What are the charges for Name Tune service?

• Monthly service will be charged 1050 Ks (including tax) for 30 days.
• Name Tune will be charged 315 Ks (including tax) for 30 days

16. What will happen if I do not have enough balance on service activation?

If there is not enough credit, you would be retried for balance to be charged for the service for next 5 days and service would be activated in case balance is enough. In case balance is not enough to be charged for the service for next five days, your request for the service will be rejected

17. What will happen if I do not have enough balance on renewal date?

If there is not enough credit, you will be provided a grace period, during which time the system will keep trying to deduct the amount from your account. If the system fails to renew the subscription after that period, the service will be disconnected, and you will be deactivated from Ring Tune service and no tune will be played as your caller ring back tune.

1 . What’s Call Waiting Service and how can I subscribe?

Call Waiting will let you know when someone is trying to contact you while you are on another call.
If you take the new call, your original caller may stay on hold and you can return to them after speaking with the new caller.

2. How does call waiting service work?

When you are on a call, you will hear a tone to let you know you have another caller. Choose to either hold the current call and take the new call, or end either call. You can switch back to the first call as long as the first caller is still on the line. Only one caller can wait at one time

1. What is Call Me Back?

1.Call Me Back is unique service, by MPT which allows you to request your family / friends / near-dear ones to know that you want them to call you back.

  1. This service is applicable for any mobile number (except MyTel) in Myanmar.

2. Who is the eligible to use Call Me Back service?

All Prepaid / Postpaid customers (MPT GSM/WCDMA) can use Call Me Back service and request for call back from any local phone numbers (except MyTel) without any subscription or usage charges.

3. Can one way blocked user use Call Me Back service?

Yes, one way blocked user can dial *222# to use the Call Me Back service. However, user cannot receive Call Me Back SMS request from other MPT prepaid and postpaid GSM/WCDMA users.

4. Can two ways blocked user use Call Me Back service?

a . No, CDMA and two ways blocked users cannot use Call Me Back service.

5. How can I use the service?

To use this service dial *222*09XXXXXXXX# where 09XXXXXXXX is the mobile number of your choice, whom you want to request for a call me back.

After your request is successful, you would receive a prompt saying “Thank you for using call me back! your request has been processed”.

6. How does the Call Me Back? Request look to the recipient?

If the recipient is eligible, he/she will receive the following message: “Hello, please call back at 09xxxxxxxxx now”.

7. Can I use the Call Me Back service if I am roaming outside of Myanmar?

The Call Me Back service is offered for MPT GSM/WCDMA customers for sending request to any local phone numbers (except MyTel) in Myanmar with Free of Charge. Call Me Back service is not be available when roaming outside Myanmar.

8. Can I receive a Call Me Back SMS in Myanmar Language?

The receiver can get the SMS in Myanmar (or) English depending on his/her language setting only on MPT network. For the other network, the SMS would be in English.

9. Can I use Call Me Back request to my friend who are using other operators’ numbers?

Yes, The Call Me Back service is offered for MPT prepaid and postpaid GSM/WCDMA customers for sending request to any local phone numbers (except MyTel).

10. How many times can I use Call Me Back service per day?

5 times can be used for Call Me Back service per day.

11. What happed after using 5 times Call Me Back service per day?

After using 5 times Call Me Back service per day, you will get the following message: “Dear MPT Customer, you have exceeded the limit to use Call me back! for today”.

12. Why should I use Call Me Back?

Call me back is a friendly service offered by MPT, to allow its user to stay in-touch with friends/family/near-dear ones, in case emergency (e.g. low balance, out of credit, etc.).

Use the “Call Me Back” service to let your friends and family know to call you back, at no charge. (All local phone numbers)

Can I forward my calls to any number?

You can forward your calls to only MPT numbers.

How do I subscribe to Call Forwarding?

Send “CF” to 1331 to subscribe. Subscription is free.

How do I unsubscribe?

Send “CF OFF” to 1331 to unsubscribe.

How do I use Call Forwarding?

Call Forwarding enables you to forward incoming calls to another phone number. There are two ways to set your call forwarding:
Option 1 Dial *21*Forwarding phone number # (for example, *21*09xxxxxxxxxxx#)
Option 2 Go to ‘Settings’ on your phone to set the conditions (e.g. always forward, forward when busy, forward when unanswered, forward when unreachable, etc.) and the forwarding number. Usually, this can be found under ‘Calls’.

How will I be charged?

Subscription to Call Forwarding is free of charge. When forwarding calls, subscriber who has activated Call Forwarding will be charged. A (Caller) -> B (Forwarder) -> C (Receiver) B (Forwarder) will be charged based on forwarded call duration according to the tariff they are in. For Swe Thahar users, voice calls are charged at 23Ks/min. For Base Tariff users, voice calls are charged at 50Ks/min (peak time) / 25Ks/min (off-peak time). Subscribers are advised to turn off Call Forwarding before travelling overseas.
